It's possible to support Israel, as the Obama administration did recently with a $38 billion aid package, and oppose settlements because they undermine the possibility of achieving a two-state solution in which Palestine and Israel co-exist as separate states with recognized borders.

In the early hours of Tuesday, dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded Balatah refugee camp, east of Nablus; Nablus city; Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem; Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem; Silwad town, east of Ramallah; Qalqiliah and Ya'bad town near the West Bank and city of Jenin, the Palestinian Prisoners' Society (PPS) reported.

The ministry emphasized that "it is time for an urgent worldwide action that will hold Israel accountable for its violation and breach of global law in order to guarantee an end for its occupation of the Palestinian land".

A resolution that not only took Israel to task over and over again for settlement building, but which also declared all of the Jewish people's most holiest sites in eastern Jerusalem and the West Bank as occupied Palestinian territory. Aside from its controversies with Israel, the United Nations has been a force for good, and we hope Trump and other Republicans will not hold the United Nations hostage over one issue.

He made the remarks following his return from a recent trip to the Middle East as part of the Australia-Israel-UK Leadership Dialogue. The Palestinian population is growing much faster than that of Israelis. Israel released terrorist prisoners and got more terror. They hope it will force Israel to give them land without giving anything in exchange. It failed to mention the repeated offers from Israel to end the occupation and settlements, and to create a Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza: Arafat's rejection of the Clinton-Barak proposals in 2000-2001: and Abbas' failure to respond to the Olmert offer in 2008. They would make a contiguous Palestinian state impossible. "The Administration's stunt at the United Nations hurt our ally Israel and made peace in the region even more hard to achieve". The comparatively weak Palestinian economy is further stunted by a network of roads built exclusively for connecting the settler populations and Israel.

The late Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin once told me that while Israel needs friends, it could never fully trust any nation for its security.

After the Melo ejection, Dwight Howard picked up a flagrant 1 for a rough foul on Kristaps Porzingis, who finished with 24 points. But the offense definitely suffered, and it's ludicrous to pretend they're more unsafe with Lance Thomas in there than Anthony.

That's one reason, USA ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power explained, why the us abstained rather than exercise a veto as it did in 2011 on a similar resolution that did not include such statements.

Failure to change that mistaken view puts Israel's status as a democracy at risk, Kerry said.

I voted for Barack Obama twice.

The prophet Isaiah wrote: "Speak tenderly to Jerusalem" (Isaiah 40:2). This means that the prayer plaza at the Western Wall, the access roads to Hebrew University and Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus, and the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem are now all illegally occupied.

Finally that separation wall winding its way throughout Israel stopping Israeli farmers and citizens entry to their land and neighbors communities.
