First Look at Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider reboot

It looks like Lara is trying to escape as other photos from the set show her hands are tied together.

The Tomb Raider film is set to be directed by Norwegian director Roar Uthaug (The Wave) and will use the most recent Tomb Raider video games, which focus on a younger Lara Croft on her first big adventure, as source material.

None of these in any way indicate whether or not the new Tomb Raider movie will be, but if nothing else they should give you an idea of how Vikander looks in the role.

Good luck landing jumps, climbing mountains and running up things (or away from things) with those.

The filmmakers have mentioned that the Tomb Raider reboot movie will be inspired by the reboot video game from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics.

Alicia Vikander is no stranger to action movies. Walton Goggins will be the villain, Daniel Wu will portray Lu Ren and Dominic West will play the role of Lara Croft's father, Lord Richard Croft.
