That was something of a breakout moment for her (and released without her consent at the time, apparently), and she's since gone on to feature in, among other things, Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue.

However, despite her history, Upton told Kimmel the magazine didn't let her know she would be the 2017 cover model until just a day before the big announcement.

Posing for the 2017 swimsuit edition, the blonde served up sex appeal in three different barely-there looks, to represent the fact that it's her third gig with the mag.

The curvaceous model can pull off pretty much any look going and her latest set of covers for Sports Illustrated definitely serve as evidence.

She added: "I really want to have that influence for people out there that have my body type".

Or they were true and Kate Upton's diva antics actually paid off! "Kate demanded that if she did the shoot, that she absolutely must get the cover".

The annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue - which is apparently still exciting for men despite the existence of the entire internet - is here.

One of the few women to ever do the cover three times is Christie Brinkley, who also is featured in this year's edition with her two daughters.

The Sports Illustrated Twitter account shared the clip with the caption: "Welcome back, Kate!"

Williams is hoping to be an example for people to be comfortable in their body, considering she is not the average size of a woman you typically see in photoshoots.

"Is that really a swimsuit that you're wearing 'cause it seems just like a hammock that got torn to bits", the TV host joked in the video (below). "It would be really unbelievable", she said at the time. She was on our cover once, too!

Jeter, 26, stunned in her photo shoot just weeks after learning she was pregnant with her and husband Derek Jeter's first child. This will be the 24-year-old's fifth overall appearance in the swimsuit issue.
