The couple then started live streaming of the incident on Facebook, which went viral. But instead of responding, the police forced them to pay a fine for indulging in "vulgarity" in a public place. And when the answer was in the negative, they told them that such behavior in public was vulgar. To this, Vishnu demanded to know what we had done wrong. "The couple were reluctant to give their identity, so we arrested them", said Latha, a circle inspector in the women's cell to the NewsMinute. Then 2 male officers joined and one of them verbally abused me. "Once at the station, they summoned our parents, who said that they do not want to interfere in the matter", Vishnu had told The News Minute soon after the incident.

They were charged under IPC Section 290 (creating public nuisance) and set free on station bail after furnishing relevant documents. The police can not ignore such calls, therefore they reach the place and after reaching the place they must act according to law with all politeness.
