Fresh off her soaring performance at the Super Bowl, Lady Gaga was added Tuesday to the list of artists who will take the stage at Sunday's Grammy Awards in downtown Los Angeles.

The news was rumoured after a fan site posted a clip (below), but Rolling Stone later confirmed it was true.

Looks like Recording Academy is going to make viewers go gaga, as the organisers have roped in Lady Gaga as well to perform at the 59 Annual Grammy Awards. While this may seem like a odd combination to some, is there a reason that Lady Gaga is duetting with Metallica at the Grammys?

Gaga has also announced dates for a world tour, which will begin late this summer.

Gaga has not been nominated for any category this year as her album, Joanne, released after the Grammy deadline.

There are more collaborations slated for the gala event as The Weeknd is set to perform with collaborators Daft Punk and Alicia Keys will join forces with country singer Maren Morris.
