Two people were killed late Thursday when a vehicle pulled alongside a van in the city's South Shore neighborhood.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel decried the violence that left seven people dead a series of South Shore shootings Thursday. A man and woman were shot, police said, and the van crashed into a pole. All four victims were male and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two men were found dead from bullet wounds inside the restaurant, a third person was found unresponsive outside the restaurant, and a fourth man was found a block away.

A gunman approached the restaurant and fired shots. She was four months pregnant with he first child, so her grieveing father, Aaron Calvin, said "that's two people dead". Another man was found dead nearby in the 7500 block of South Coles Avenue.

Earlier, about a mile from the restaurant, the body of 26-year-old Patrice L. Calvin was discovered in a home. She had a gunshot wound to the head.

Georgia Jackson, 72, appeared distraught upon learning that her grandsons, Raheem, 19, and Dillon Jackson, 20, were found fatally shot near Nadia Fish and Chicken, in the South Shore neighborhood.

A team of detectives canvassed the area Thursday evening, looking for private security video from businesses that may have captured portions of the incident, Guglielmi said.

Thursday's shootings capped a bloody afternoon on the city's South Side.

Police say no arrests have been made. Eddie Johnson told reporters Friday afternoon. They've also asked Trump to boost funding for job and mentorship programs.
