In the wake of a report that five women received sexual harassment settlements against Bill O'Reilly, President Donald Trump said he thinks the Fox New host made a mistake in settling.
"Personally, I think he shouldn't have settled", Mr. Trump said in an interview in the Oval Office with New York Times reporters.
In response to the Times report, O'Reilly's said Saturday that he is "vulnerable to lawsuits" because of his high-profile job. "Then, I don't recall specifically how it came up, but I think he mentioned O'Reilly first and answered the question, essentially, that he thought O'Reilly should not have settled and that he should have, quote, taken it all the way". "Because you should have taken it all the way".

NEW YORK (AP) - While dozens of brands have said they're pulling ads from Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" because of harassment allegations against its host, others remain to court the biggest audience on cable television news. "But it's all catching up with Bill O'Reilly and that sexual harassment enterprise that they created over there at Fox". "Factor" was the most-watched show in cable news both Monday and Tuesday this week.
Ailes left Fox News last summer. "They are two of a kind". However, we are obviously living in extremely odd times and recent presidential shout-outs did nothing for Milo Yiannopoulos and nearly nothing for Judge Andrew Napolitano, who were both punished nearly immediately after getting public Trump support. "They have complained about a wide range of behavior, including verbal abuse, lewd comments, unwanted advances and phone calls in which it sounded as if Mr. O'Reilly was masturbating, according to documents and interviews".
So, intellectually you can make a strong argument that O'Reilly's days at Fox News are numbered.
Waters' comments came just a week after she found herself on the receiving end of O'Reilly's commentary. Her latest comments further serve her reputation as one fearless legislator.
