The NFL revealed its 2017 schedule Thursday night, and I was inspired to declare instant winners and losers with a full understanding that not a single meaningful game will be played for more than four months. And it will be an interesting one, to say the least, as it aligns with the one our very own Rich Hill called "preposterous and stupid" earlier. But none will compete with the Falcons' highly anticipated trip to New England in one of the biggest games of the entire season. The matchup between those two teams could also have a direct influence on the conference's playoff seeding. September 17 1:00 p.m.

A Week 15 Saturday Night Football game, their first since 2011, pits the Chiefs against the Chargers again before wrapping up the slate against Miami on Christmas Eve and at Denver on New Year's Eve.

The Dolphins are an ascending team, having won nine of their final 11 games last season. But of course, life can take over at times and it's not easy to free up your time to see all 16 games.

No two National Football League seasons are the same one year to the next, and the same can be said of National Football League schedules.

The Patriots will play three of their first four games at home, with a trip to New Orleans (Sept. 17, 1 p.m.) interrupting the homestand that includes visits by Houston and Carolina on Sept. 24 and October 1, both 1 p.m. starts.

The rest of the opening weekend will feature what seems like a yearly occurrence, with Dallas hosting the New York Giants on Sunday night.

Trump to sign 'Buy American, Hire American' executive order
The four departments will then submit their findings to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and release a report in 220 days. Yes, H-1B visas are complicated, but they are still harmful ("Trump's not frightful immigration order", April 19).

Most Americans no longer think Trump keeps his promises
The poll, which was taken on Friday, asked 1,500 American adults what they thought of the job Trump was doing as president. Trump, from time to time, has been tweeting and re-tweeting polls that are favourable to his administration.

Kawann Short, Panthers Agree to 5-Year Contract Reportedly Worth $80M
Kawann Short got the deal he was looking for from the Carolina Panthers , who avoided another messy split with a franchise player. The Carolina Panthers made sure Kawann Short's contract situation wasn't going to end the same away Josh Norman's did a year ago.

Super Bowl champion New England will host the kickoff game on Thursday, Sept. 7, possibly in a rematch of the title game with Atlanta. The other is against the Ravens, who went 8-8 previous year and aren't exactly star-filled. With an extra week of rest, will the team do the same in 2017? Will they spend two weeks on the road, or will they fly to Jacksonville, back to L.A., and then to London? Last year's Panthers-Broncos game seemed wonderful in Week 1; if it'd been in Week 8, well, we might have had less reason to watch.

The Patriots' first meeting with the Buffalo Bills will take place on the first weekend in December. They have a new head coach and GM that bring a bit more of a high profile look. Will he have some wins too? October 15 1:00 p.m.

Individual tickets to the Jets' 2017 home games will go on sale to the public beginning next Wednesday, April 26.

We saw some thrilling games in the postseason, and we'll have plenty of rematches this year. It does, however, project to have major implications on the AFC's playoff seeding. This in addition to their annual inner-division games against the Patriots, Dolphins and Bills. The Raiders will play five prime-time games this year. Now let the speculation begin and get wild!

Week 9 (Nov. 5) @ Cowboys, 3:25 p.m. The Raiders will face the New England Patriots on November 19 in Mexico City as this tweet from Roberto Abramowitz shows. That said, perhaps no schedule would be too hard for the defending champs.
