IIM Kozhikode is the only institution from Kerala which listed in the top 100 in the National Ranking 2017.
Ministry of Human Resource and Development's ambitious project National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is all set to release India Rankings 2017 today on April 03, 2017 via a press conference. Besides overall ranking of institutions, separate rankings has also been worked out for six categories of institutions: Engineering, management, pharmacy, universities and colleges. Following is the list of the colleges that made the Top 100.
While it was a surprise to see many top institutions like Presidency University of Kolkata and St.Stephen's College, Delhi missing from the list, Javadekar said that this could be because several institutes did not participate in the ranking.
The reproduction of the story/photograph in any form will be liable for legal action. IISc figured on the top in Overall and Universities categories. The ranking parameters were launched in September 2015 by the government.
The official also said "the stringent norms of NIRF ranking methodology as the reason for the cold response in the participation from the educational institutions".

Meanwhile, in the list of top colleges in the country, Miranda House, Delhi leads the way with Loyola College, Chennai & Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi following it respectively.
The institutions were ranked on the basis on resources, research, employability, gender inclusivity.
