According to police, the incident took place around 5:45 am this morning when I 20 auto ran over four persons sleeping on a pavement.

Two of the schoolboys allegedly ran away.

"They were driving recklessly around 6 am". Three others identified as Asif, Karan and Sanjay were also critically injured in the incident. A class 12th student who was driving the vehicle has been apprehended. The injured men have been admitted to the Sushruta Trauma Centre near Civil Lines.

The student lost control of his speeding I 20 auto and climbed on the footpath. Two teenagers along with the driver have been arrested. They consider him a minor and at present treating him as an underage driver.The teen is in the custody of the Kashmere Gate police and is being interviewed. He is a resident of Model Town in north Delhi. "His friends fled the scene after the accident", Narwal told IANS. The owner of the car- Chug's friend Ujjwal's father -is likely to face charges in connection with the accident. Police say that the incident was reported around 5.45am.

It has been learned that a case is registered under IPC 304, according to ANI report.
