L'oreal Paris India took to their official Twitter page and shared a picture of the actress posing in front of what appears to the balcony of her suite in the Hotel Martinez. In her first appearance on the red carpet, she looked stunning in a Marchesa Notte gown paired with Jimmy Choo heels and clutch, and De Grisogono jewellery.

The actress was all smiles as she was snapped at the airport leaving for Cannes on Sunday.

Asked if she would like to give any tips to Deepika, who is representing the brand at Cannes for the first time, Sonam said: 'I think I am no one to give her tips as she has already walked many worldwide red carpets. From her yellow top + jeans combo to the floor-sweeping red dress, Miss Padukone is keeping her style quotient high.

When asked if she has any advice to give to Deepika, Sonam told reporters: "I hope she has a good time. It's not about the status quo of being on the red carpet".
