Jammu and Kashmir police have identified Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants involved in two bank robberies across south Kashmir's Pulwama district recently. Meanwhile, a massive manhunt has been launched to catch the terrorists involved in the killing.The 23-year-old Army officer, who had gone home in south Kashmir to attend the wedding of a cousin, was abducted and killed by militants. The Army chief said "these people are discouraging Kashmiris from availing job opportunities while thousands of people line up for police recruitment". Witnesses said the army officer was taken away while he was sitting with the bride, even as more militants waited outside the house. "But yes, we have said that anybody who is coming into the areas, he should inform the nearest army camp so that we can provide security to him".
The Army had already chose to go for coordinated anti-militancy operations in Kashmir with the help of para-military officers and Jammu and Kashmir Police. "They (terrorists) only wanted to send a message". I am sure Kashmir will be left with nothing within a few months. There were chants of "Indian Army, zindabad" in the background. "We must try and declare Pakistan as a terrorist state", said Lt Gen V K Chaturvedi (retired).
He said that "India to trying to create a group like ISIS to defame the militant outfits who are fighting against them".
