USA agriculture secretary Sonny Purdue a few weeks ago announced cost-cutting savings to the National School Lunch Program, an initiative overseen by Michelle Obama to cut the levels of sodium and increase the whole grain content of school meals.

New reports indicate that former first lady Michelle Obama is outraged at the Trump administration's decision to cut back on stringent regulations regarding the nutritional requirements of school lunches.

Politico notes that Obama didn't actually call out Trump by name, but her comments were clearly directed toward his administration. She bashed critics who complain that kids don't like the healthier school meals implemented during the Obama administration. What is wrong with you?' "Why would that be political?" You know, now that's up to moms.

"Moms, think about this", Obama said at the summit. Simply, Mrs. Obama argues, this administration doesn't care about you or your children, and they're showing it all the time.

"You've got me as a partner for as long as I can be of use", she added. "Why would you celebrate that?" she said during the keynote speech.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said, "If kids aren't eating the food, and it's ending up in the trash, they aren't getting any nutrition, thus undermining the intent of the program". These companies still need to make money, but they're saying, hey, how can we help you live a little healthier? "That's all we have".

"The PHA was probably the smartest thing that we [did] out of the White House - helping to build an outside nonprofit organization that. can work hand-in-hand with the private sector and public sector and build partnerships in a positive way", Obama said at the event. "And every elected official on this planet should understand don't play with our children".

But Mrs Obama said adults - not kids - should be in charge of what the young ones eat.

First Lady Melania Trump, Karen Pence, President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, former president Barack Obama, former vice president Joe Biden, Michelle Obama and Jill Biden stand on the steps of the Capitol.

But let's forget the other side to the story and just say Republicans want to kill your kids.

"Time and time again, we have seen that schools can offer meals and snacks that are appealing to students while meeting nutrition standards - when they receive the appropriate training, tools and resources to meet the standards", the group said in a statement. Additionally, he also noted that he will keep issuing waivers that require more whole grains to be served at schools.
