The first round of the National Football League draft had players from Temple and Western Michigan off the board before players from Alabama. It was a rather memorable three days with a rowdy Philadelphia crowd that didn't disappoint. On the other end of the line, he was informed the Baltimore Ravens were taking him in the fifth round of the draft. General manager Ozzie Newsome certainly did that.

Humphrey got a fist pump from a Ravens' fan before his selection was even announced. The retirement of Zachary Orr due to injury, the release of Elvis Dumervil and the advancing age of Terrell Suggs (34) put the Ravens in need someone capable of chasing down a quarterback.

The Ravens entered the draft with plenty of needs - most notably wide receiver, pass rusher and cornerback.

"The former college basketball player totaled 16 sacks in his last 24 games and has tremendous upside". Humphrey's top-16 selection surpassed Hoover's former highest draft pick. Marlon Humphrey is a sure tackler who seeks out contact. Something many have argued about ever since the pick was announced (or read on Twitter five minutes before it was announced).

"I love everything about Marlon Humphrey except he struggled to find the football in the air with his back to the quarterback".

Cops finally arrested Chris at his home a few hours later, and he was released after posting a $10,000 bond. Wolfgram said that Soules refused to answer his door for officers, telling them to contact his attorney.

"He is not the first player who has said that on both sides of the ball". Bowser will have the opportunity to compete with Matt Judon, Za'Darius Smith and fellow rookie Tim Washington (third-round pick from Alabama) for the job. Instead of providing second-year passer Carson Wentz a home-run threat at running back or wide receiver, Executive Vice President of Football Operations Howie Roseman spent his first three picks on players for Jim Schwartz's already-fearsome defense. However, Corey Davis, Mike Williams and John Ross each went in the top 10.

For years, the Ravens relied on their defense to carry them and hoped their offense supplied enough yards and points in support. Another solid pick for the Ravens.

"There's a lot of areas they can go and I think they'll take the best available players".

"When you have the best player sitting there staring you in the face, you take him", Harbaugh said. After all, it's why all four were picked in the first round.

Wormley was the third MI defensive player taken in the draft, following first-rounders Jabrill Peppers (Browns) and Taco Charlton (Cowboys) and was followed by three more in the third round, Jourdan Lewis (Cowboys), Delano Hill and Amara Darboh (Seahawks).
