Tyler announced today on the Talk that she would be leaving the show at the end of the season.
"I have had an wonderful six years with you guys", Tyler, 46, told her co-hosts, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood on the show Thursday.

"This is my home, I'm going to come back to guest host, promote my movies here, I'm going to promote my shows here, I'm going to be haunting you".
In addition to The Talk, Tyler is also a series regular on CBS' Criminal Minds, hosts Whose Line Is It Anyway? and lends her voice to Archer. The departing co-host believes the time is right because of the success of other female directors, such as Ava DuVernay who has several films under her directorial belt and Patty Jenkins with her recent success of "Wonder Woman".
"I loved directing. and I knew, I think, that that was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life", she continued.
