John Shearer/Getty Images via ABCLorde is helping a NY cashier named Emely live her fantasy by inviting her to the musician's performance at the Governors Ball festival.

"She got a blue velvet, I am in shock", Ms Mangu says.

Lorde might not be about the "royal" life (preferring, instead, to spend her days in a nondescript 24-hours diner) but she does know how to treat fans like a Queen Bee. The 20-year-old laughs, smiles and throws up peace signs with her fingers.

Kiwi-We-Like-To-Call-Aussie, Lorde, is now in NYC ahead of the Governors Ball this weekend, where she'll perform alongside Chance The Rapper, Flume, Childish Gambino, Phoenix and a bunch more. Take Ayesha from Liquiteria in New York City for example, she is a new hire at the smoothie shop, and was lucky enough to serve Lorde. "I was gonna ask u in the store if u wanted to come but I got shy", she wrote. I'm crying rn (right now)!

That Emely tweeted screenshots of their conversation, adding "woke up trying to figure out if last night was a dream or real life".

She is set to drop a new single on the same day ahead of the release of her new album Melodrama on June 16.

Other performers across the weekend include Chance the Rapper, Phoenix, Tool, Childish Gambino, and Cage the Elephant.
