At about 1.30am up to four blasts were heard near to London Bridge Street. And at least one cab company tweeted an offer of free rides for people stranded in the area.

England has been on edge since May 22, when a suicide bomber killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena.

Grande visited victims of the bombing in the hospital Saturday and is scheduled to perform at a star-studded benefit concert in Manchester on Sunday.
