Although many gave the movie little or no chance at all, it became Warner Bros most critically successful film. It doesn't matter that the film's (highly-talented) director is a woman. Wonder Woman would be coming to the U.S. this time around and the movie will likely to be set in modern times.
Last year, she and director Patty Jenkins dropped the first trailer for Wonder Woman to a rapturous reception. Warner Bros.is not saying much about the inevitable follow-up to the smash hit, but the studio did flash a title card with the words "Wonder Woman II" during its Comic-Con presentation Saturday.
Gadot made an appearance at the news-packed panel, along with other members of the "Justice League" cast. It doesn't matter that the woman at the centre of the movie is her own independent self.
