The storms could be severe at times and accompanied by damaging winds and heavy rain that could lead to localized flooding in poor drainage areas, the National Weather Service says.

A trough of low pressure will move through Friday night into Saturday with scattered showers, but the weather will be dry by late Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service reports.
