Christenson used heroin and prescription pain medication during her pregnancy, police say, and the baby girl was born addicted to drugs. Suboxone is a prescription pain medication used for addiction treatment.
Family Services took the children into their custody and reported that the two youngest boys tested positive for second-hand methamphetamine smoke. The couple reportedly put the crushed drugs on their fingertips, then spread it over the infant's gums.
Reports state that the couple evaded their arrest until June 26. Rather than check out, he marched directly across the store to customer service, where he returned the items "as if he had purchased them", police said. He was given a cash card for the items, but as he left the store with his two-month-old daughter, employees confronted him about the purported theft. At the time, Wilde had attempted to return unpurchased items for cash, then fled with his two-month-old daughter in a auto seat, dropping her multiple times, according to KUTV.
Utah County Sheriffs said informants told officers that the parents of babies born with an addiction use this method to hide it from hospital staff.
Police arrested Wilde before he made it out of the parking lot and booked him into the Utah County Jail on a variety of charges, including driving under the influence, possession of heroin and methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without insurance.
However police found out after discovering drug paraphernalia next to the baby's cot during a search of the duo's home. Christenson had her other three children, boys ages 8, 4, and 2, with her in the store.
Wilde's girlfriend, 26-year-old Lacey Dawn Christenson, was in Walmart with Wilde.

Terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims 'reprehensible'
New Delhi: Over 300 public toilets in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area can now be located on Google Maps. Seven persons were killed in the attack carried out by the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.
When confronted on the scene by Walmart employees, Wilde ran, dropping the vehicle seat several times while trying to get away. All four of the children are now being looked after by the father of the eldest boy.
Since all four children were living in the home, Wilde and Christenson were each charged with four additional counts of child endangerment. PEOPLE was also not immediately able to determine if they have retained attorneys who could comment on their behalf.
"But there is plenty of evidence that the drug gets diverted; police seize it, addicts talk about how easy it is to buy". The Sheriff's Office also said it found Suboxone.
They obtained another search warrant for the couple's house, and this time found Wilde smoking heroin. Wilde posted $7,5000 bond on July 5 and was freed, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office.
Over the next couple of weeks, the Deputy who obtained the search warrant continued to investigate this case.
Utah Valley Hospital, where the girl was born, released a statement to Fox 13 in Salt Lake City, in which officials said newborn safety is a top priority.
Wilde fled the scene - after dropping a vehicle seat holding his infant child multiple times - but was arrested a short time later, according to police, who charged him with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of heroin and methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without insurance, theft and child abuse. The two remain in prison, and their bail has been set at $10,000.
