The Italian forward went right at Kok after Kok hit Gallinari in the neck/face area with a forearm while attempting to box him out.

Gallinari reportedly had to go to the hospital to get his hand examined, but the severity of his injury is not yet known. Gallinari plays for Italy, which is preparing for EuroBasket.

The Clippers' new big man might have injured his hand in the process.

Gallinari signed a four-year deal with the Clippers in July as part of a sign-and-trade agreement from the Denver Nuggets. No surgery will be required, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. After all, Blake Griffin broke his hand punching an equipment manager.

The Italian federation wrote on Twitter that Gallinari fractured the first metacarpal on his right hand and that the estimated recovery time was 40 days.
