As showcased at Apple's WWDC 2017 earlier this year, iOS 11 comes with a wide range of new features and UI improvements over the current iteration.

But that's the least of the hidden treasures in this batch. These features include a new portrait lighting mode which supports "Contour Light, Natural Light, Stage Light, Stage Light Mono and Studio Light".

There's a new Portrait Lighting mode in the firmware.

iPhone X is the premium version with an all-new design, crisper OLED display, improved cameras, and a 3-D facial recognition scanner for unlocking the device, reported the Bloomberg.

It's the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone this year, and thus it's been rumored for months that Apple would be revealing some fantastic new iteration of the smartphone with their annual September announcement. This feature has been included in some Android devides, and is especially useful if the fingerprint reader is not easily accessible, *ahem* Samsung *ahem*.

A leak of the golden master of iOS 11 has been dug into by enterprising developers to reveal what are most likely to be the final names for Apple's incoming handsets. It looks like the infamous HomePod leak left a few surprises for us after all.

In an image posted on to Slashleaks (via Cult of Mac), the photo shows what appears to be the leaked speaker component belonging to the upcoming iPhone 8.

There even appears to be some more fun in iOS 11 that we haven't seen yet. The Animojis "will use facial tracking and your voice to create expressive animated messages". So while there may be other reasons as well, the high cost of the OLED panel is no doubt one of the main reasons why the iPhone 8 could be as expensive as the rumors suggest.

Animojis take advantage of the iPhone 8's 3D face sensor capabilities to mimic your facial expressions, like a raised eyebrow or a smile, reports 9to5Mac. The iOS 11 GM also hints that display on the iPhone X will come with True Tone colour feature (introduced recently in iPad Pro) and a screen resolution of 1125×2436 pixels.

There's also a short animation for when an iPhone is connected to a charger. As it is not possible for all Apple fans to attend the event, the tech giant has made a decision to live-stream it.

Apple is also planning to announce a new Watch with cellular capabilities and a 4K Apple TV.
