The Saudi-led military coalition fighting Yemen's Houthi rebels bombed the airport in the rebel-held capital, Sanaa, Tuesday, Yemeni officials said, although there were conflicting reports as to the extension of damage caused in the strike. It says over 50,000 children are believed to have died in 2017.
The U.N. children's agency UNICEF had only three weeks of vaccine supplies left in Yemen, and both UNICEF and the World Health Organization had shipments of essential medicines and vaccines blocked in Djibouti, McGoldrick said.
"The space and access we need to deliver humanitarian assistance is being choked off, threatening the lives of millions of vulnerable children and families".
More than 10,000 people have been killed in the conflict since March 2015 and three million have been displaced.
For its part, Iran long has denied supplying any arms to Yemen, though it has backed the Houthis and highlighted the high civilian casualties from the Saudi-led coalition's campaign of airstrikes.
After two years of a devastating war, the Houthis still control much of Yemen's north while the south falls under the embattled President of Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, whose government is recognized by the worldwide community and who is supported by the Saudi-led coalition.

"Together, we issue another urgent appeal for the coalition to permit entry of lifesaving supplies to Yemen in response to what is now the worst humanitarian crisis in the world".
"This is a man-made crisis", continued the United Nations spokesman, adding that Guterres had called it a "stupid war".
"Even with a partial lifting of the blockade, the World Food Program estimates that an additional 3.2 million people will be pushed into hunger". Humanitarian flights could still come in and out using a visual approach.
Yemen's Sanaa worldwide airport still can be used to receive United Nations humanitarian flights following a recent airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition, however, the coalition should provide relevant security guarantees, Stephane Dujarric, the United Nations secretary general's spokesman, said.
The government-controlled port of Aden has re-opened and Sanaa airport is operating for commercial flights, however this is inadequate as "needs are so huge", he said.
Like the capital, Sanaa, Hodeida and Salif are in rebel-held territory.
