Reds boss J├╝rgen Klopp will surely be looking to bolster his defensive ranks during the January transfer window, if he has genuine ambitions of his side challenging for major honours on all fronts this season.

But, after a slow start at Liverpool following his ($46 million) move, Oxlade- Chamberlain has started to hit his stride in recent weeks - just in time for his first return to Emirates on Friday.

And Klopp said of the 24-year-old ahead of the game: "I think the biggest improvement, or the biggest potential he still has, is really being involved in goalscoring situations, because he has it in himself". Salah joined the club from AS Roma while Chamberlain joined the club from Arsenal in the last days of the transfer market. "(He's sometimes a) little bit too much of a midfielder instead of a striker - there are a lot of things he can improve, but I'm really happy about the status quo". "After that, you want all the players to be respected who have played for us".

"Here, we put it on much more shoulders, and if he's on the pitch he needs to be involved in situations like this".

He said: "It's all so different, he has become more and more a Liverpool player". "If you are a big signing everyone expects you to perform immediately". But it's hard. "I was happy from the first day about his involvement, about his attitude, and since then he became more and more a Liverpool player".

Liverpool will head into Friday's match against Arsenal a changed side-a more defensively capable side.

"They are a complete football team, they can switch styles".

"They played a lot of long balls to Giroud, but he can not play and that will change a few things".

"That's the way we play, it's not about the back four or any individual who can change these kinds of things, it's more about the unity of the team and the way we press up high. They will have a strong side, whoever will play". Against us they often played lot of long balls.
