Anderson didn't learn of the protection order filed against him until late Monday evening, according to his attorney.
The woman who filed the order wrote in a court statement that she met Anderson at a bar on November 16 for the first time. "Mr. Anderson is shocked and disturbed by (the woman's) claims". He was ordered to pay the court costs in the protective order filing.
"The university is aware of the situation and is following our protocols in coordinating with the Norman Police Department, which is now handling the inquiry", Matt Epting, press secretary and special assistant to the president, said in an email to The Daily. Following that ride, some consensual kissing had occurred and she remembered waking up naked. She said she was planning on going home alone, but Anderson took her home. The woman further described her recollections in the statement and said she was "not feeling like I could say anything, and trying to get away from him to put clothes on". The allegations are patently false. He is scheduled to appear in court December 18 for the restraining order hearing.
The woman said she later recalled incidents she say happened inside her apartment, including forceful contact and biting.

With the Sooners preparing to play Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinals, this is not the kind of news the team wanted to come out about the star running back, but the allegations are serious ones that will have to be dealt with. However, there are those accused of sexual assault which they unequivocally did not commit- as is the case for Mr. Anderson.
Anderson, of Katy, Texas, sustained back-to-back, season-ending injuries in 2015 and 2016, which led to his slow start this season.
