Trump blames Obama - again - for not doing enough about Russian meddling

Speaking at a security conference in Munich on Saturday, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster called the evidence of Russian interference in United States democratic processes "incontrovertible".

A senior Obama administration official has been quoted as saying the administration "choked" when dealing with Russian Federation.

Trump tweeted Friday that "The Trump campaign did nothing wrong - no collusion!"

He also applauded special counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing investigation of Russian trolls on social media during the 2016 USA presidential election.

Kislyak's comments came as top Russian and American officials exchanged barbs over Friday's indictment of 13 Russians accused of an elaborate plot to disrupt the 2016 presidential election.

Trump might want to focus on collusion, but his blanket denial that he ever questioned Russian meddling runs up against his own words.

Trump acknowledged the indictments in a tweet Friday, but he did not mention sanctions on Twitter or in a White House statement that quoted him.

President Barack Obama in late 2016 defended his administration's response to the Russian meddling, also saying he had confronted Russian President Vladimir Putin that September, telling him to "cut it out".

Despite Trudeau's human rights concern, Canada sells weapons to Philippines
Duterte also hinted that Canada should no longer expect the Philippines' help in times of trouble as long as he is president. The Canadian government is not OK with the helicopters being used for those "internal security operations", however.

Pentagon Won't Answer Who Would Pay for Trump's Expensive Military Parade
Even before he was inspired by the Bastille Day parade in Paris, the president was set on having a display of USA military might. Some 8,800 USA troops and tanks marched on Constitution Avenue as helicopters flew above, according to The Washington Post .

President Trump didn't speak publicly about the bombshell indictment during his weekend away from Washington.

Obama said nothing to the U.S. public of the interference until October 2016, weeks before the election.

It was not the first time that Trump has appeared at odds with his own senior national security staff, which has largely taken a hawkish position toward Russian Federation amid a plunge in relations between the former Cold War foes.

The Obama administration also slapped sanctions on Moscow in December 2016 for the election year efforts. It was a known fact that Putin hated Hillary Clinton. The indictment details the lengths Russian conspirators took to bolster Trump, malign Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and sow discord and distrust in American society. "He's authorized the sale of offensive weapons in Ukraine, again, against Russian objection".

In January 2016, the US agreed to settle an Iranian claim, paying the $400 million and committing to follow up and pay $1.3 billion in interest, for a total of $1.7 billion. President Trump was elected president according to the laws of our country and should be afforded the same opportunity to represent not just the citizens who voted for him but to represent all U.S. citizens. Instead, on several occasions, Trump defended Putin or attempted to explain his point of view. Military sales represent a considerable slice of Russia's trade with the world, and Trump has moved to loosen restrictions on the sale of United States military equipment.

It may be months before Americans learn whether special counsel Robert Mueller will validate or reject allegations that Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Moscow's election meddling operation.

The host seemed even more concerned with what President Trump did not do.

One of the 13 Russians indicted by the United States for interfering in the American presidential election says the US justice system is unfair. The Trump administration blamed Russian Federation for the presence of chemical weapons in Syria, citing a 2013 agreement between Putin and Obama that said Moscow would step in and remove such weapons.
