Investigators say the bodies of an Iowa couple and their two children have been found in a rented condo in Mexico. "Right now that is all the details we have", household buddy Ashli Peterson created on Facebook Friday.
Amy Sharp's sis, Renee Hoyt, informed the Creston News Advertiser that the Sharps' last interaction happened on March 15.
The family had planned to meet up with some friends at a water park, Amy Sharp's cousin, Jana Weland, told ABC News. Ms Peterson said the family told extended members they had arrived at the resort safely on March 15 but had not heard anything from them since.
"Sharp dominated the feature to collect the $500 payday while the rest of the field put on an exciting battle", the newspaper said.
"He was a true family man", Harris said.
Harris said the Sharp family was tightly knit.
She said her daughter and Kevin were married for more than 16 years and got together after a weekend to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.
"I guess we were all kind of hoping for the best", she said.
"They were fun-loving kids and the family was a sports fan family like you wouldn't believe", Avila said. The phone had not moved from its location since Thursday morning.

Autopsies are being performed in Mexico and results are pending, according to police. Local Mexican authorities have taken over the investigation, according to the State Department.
The Mexico Tourism Board said in a statement that preliminary findings found "no signs of violence or struggle".
