Mike Pence is wearing his best pained, concern trolling expression again, demanding an apology from Joy Behar over remarks that if you hear Jesus talking to you, that is to say if you hear voices, you might suffer from mental illness. "It's another thing when Jesus talks to you", Joy Behar ridiculed. "It's another thing when Jesus talks to you", she said, adding that hearing messages from God is a form of "mental illness".

The offensive comments took place on the February 13 show when co-hosts discussed comments on Pence's beliefs made by an ex-White House staffer. I was raised to respect everyone's religious faith. It wasn't until Vice President Pence appeared on Fox News' Hannity and called upon Behar to issue a public apology to tens of millions of Christians who were offended by her remarks. He emphasized that The View's deriding his Christianity is "an insult not to me, but to the vast majority of the American people who like me cherish their faith".

The phone call between Behar and Vice President Pence had been kept private until a shareholder asked Disney's CEO, Bob Iger, if he agreed with Behar's assessment of Christians. "I sincerely apologize for what I said", she said on Tuesday's episode of "The View".

He said he told her that it was also important to apologize to all that were upset by what she said. "She called me. She was very honest, and she apologized".

The drama erupted last month after Behar made the initial comment in response to claims by ousted White House aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman that the vice president often relied on Jesus to tell him what to say.

"He's not very popular at all", she said. "He encouraged her to make the same apology publicly on the show that she did privately to him".

After Behar criticized Vice President Pence's faith and referred to speaking to Jesus as "mental illness", public outrage ensured against ABC News demanding an apology.

Behar's comment also sparked backlash from the conservative Media Research Center, which launched a campaign that sparked 40,000 protest calls to ABC.

"When they do that, this whole matter will be put to rest", Bozell concluded.

McCain was immediately interrupted and told her impression was "not actually true" by The View host Whoopi Goldberg.
