The Android 8.1 Oreo update which is now being seeded out to Moto X4 is a minor OS upgrade over the 8.0. However, there is no information about the processor used in Moto G6 Play. Further, Moto E5 (XT1924-3) and E5 Play (XT1944-6) was spotted on Indonesia.

Motorola was expected to unveil the Moto G6 and the Moto E5 series of devices at the recently concluded MWC 2018, which was held in Barcelona but it did not materialize. In the latest news, all the phones have received certification in Thailand and Indonesia except for the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Play that got the certification in Indonesia. On the camera front, both the smartphones will bear a dual-camera setup at the back with a combination of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, while for the front, there will be a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

The leaked specs so far reveal the Moto G6 will feature a 5.7-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display.

The low-end Moto G6 Play is expected to come with 5.7-inch full HD screen with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset under the hood and 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of inbuilt storage. It will boast a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. It is expected to be powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 chip and have a 3,000mAh battery. On the other hand, G6 Plus will come with Snapdragon 630 SoC along with 4 GB RAM. It will be backed by 3GB Ram and 64Gb of internal storage. It is also said to come in five different colour options.

The G6 Play is rumoured to ship with a 5.7-inch HD+ display sporting 1440 x 720 pixels resolution. The Moto G6 series is expected to come with Moto G6 and G6 Plus whereas the Moto E5 series will have the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus. A 4000mAh battery is said to fuel the device. The leaked renders also suggest the device would come with micro USB port instead of Type C port. And in September, the American smartphone manufacturer introduced the Android One edition of the same device with support for Project-Fi.
