"There are many things I would like to do, but it's too late.I'm content to leave them undone".
Speaking yesterday in the room where he later died, Goodall said: "My life has been rather poor for the a year ago or so".
"Tonight the board of the foundation will study the documents and also judge the wish to die of David Goodall", Eternal Spirit head Erika Preisig said in an email, adding that the answer would "likely" be yes.
The scientist, who was not terminally ill, had asked for no funeral or remembrance ceremony.

Goodall told a news conference on Wednesday (May 9) Switzerland's liberal assisted suicide laws let him commit suicide legally, in contrast to his home where it remains forbidden.

Goodall had asked for and received assistance from Life Circle, a Basel-based organization that helps foreigners with the euthanasia process in Switzerland.
The scientist will take the drug Nembutal, a barbiturate, intravenously. "David turned the wheel to allow the solution to flow", the statement said.
