Riding a roller coaster can be exhilarating, but a few thrillseekers in Japan got more excitement than they bargained for.
Recently, a video went on YouTube after it surfaced on Japanese social media, wherein one can see how people got stuck when a roller coaster at Universal Studios in Japan suddenly stopped mid-ride.
The amusement park said the two carriages - each with 32 passengers - stalled midway through the 1,100m ride at around 4.45pm.
However, a second carriage reportedly stopped at a height of somewhere between 20 and 30 metres above ground, while the ride was upside down, leaving passengers dangling facedown.
Theme park staff rescued the 64 stranded passengers via an aisle alongside the rollercoaster tracks.
