Although the now rolling-out Android Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge brings April 2018 security patches to the pair, the update has only been confirmed for the European market with model numbers SM-G930F and SM-G935F. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings - About Phone - Software Update.
The hardware still packs a punch, and the software is about to get a major boost with Android 8.0 Oreo on its way.

The update comes with firmware version G930FXXU2ERD5 on Galaxy S7 and G935FXXU2ERD5 on Galaxy S7 Edge. If you are using the Galaxy Tab S2, the update coming your way has software version T819YDXU2BRC2 and for those on the Galaxy Tab S3, the update has software version T825JXU1ARC1. Arriving as EMUI 8.0, the update brings along several enhancements (in addition to the usual Oreo goodies, of course).
For the unfamiliar, Android Oreo brings tons of new features to the operating system, including PiP, autofill, notification channels as well as the Samsung Experience update 9.0.
