Loyal McDonald's patron Don Gorske of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, continued his 46-year streak of eating multiple Big Mac burgers almost every day, with Friday's Big Mac getting him up to No. 30,000.

The Wisconsin man celebrated his achievement at the McDonald's on Military Road in Fond Du Lac. If he really has eaten as many Big Macs as he has claimed to have done, it means he's consumed just under 17 million calories from McDonald's, according to INC.

Gorske says he eats about two Big Macs everyday. Gorske says he's driven not by the challenge of reaching new milestones but by his love of hamburgers. It wouldn't be the first time.

The popular fast-food chain promoted the Big Mac enthusiast's monumental ingestion, held at 3 p.m. under the "golden arches" and attended by McDonald's Fox Valley's franchise owner D.W. Rause.

Guinness World Records has recognised Gorske for the most Big Macs consumed since 2016, when his tally was 28,788.

He ate his 20,000 Big Mac in 2004.

30,000 goddamn Big Macs. He has an impressive collection of receipts, burger wrappers, and containers.

Tall and lanky, with a graying ponytail and friendly demeanor, Gorske has obsessive compulsive disorder and a meticulous memory, which lends to his Big Mac habit and his penchant for details. Among the other Big Mac-related facts he knows is the date that McDonald's switched from lettuce leaves to shredded lettuce - February 10, 1999. "You can not take Big Macs in front of the inmates", he said.

In 2003 Ellen DeGeneres requested Gorske's cholesterol be checked. He says his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal.

The Big Mac fan's television appearances include the "Rachel Ray Show", "Jimmie Kimmel", "Lopez Tonight", "I've got a Secret", "Oprah" and "Inside Edition".

Gorske ran the San Diego Marathon in 2006 - carrying his 21,387th Big Mac over the finish line.

Despite eating two Big Macs daily, Gorske appears healthy.
