The US singer was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after an apparent overdose just weeks after revealing she was no longer sober.

Thankfully, the singer was later announced alive and stable - she is reportedly still in recovery at a Los Angeles hospital surrounded by friends and family.

Initial reports from U.S. news site TMZ claimed she was hospitalised after suffering a heroin overdose.

TMZ reported that Lovato was found unconscious in her bed late Tuesday morning after a night of partying and a concerned assistant called 911.

In addition to Bell, many stars have showed support for Lovato in the wake of her hospitalization. "This is obviously a huge wake-up call", a source told E!

"No sirens please, right?" the friend asked, but was told that wasn't possible.
