German site AllAboutSamsung reports that the company is expected to launch a triple camera setup on the most premium Samsung Galaxy S10 (Beyond 2).

Samsung is expected to launch three variants of the Galaxy S10 next year, and the unveil is largely expected at MWC 2019.

Samsung Electronics is now hoping for its upcoming Galaxy X to improve its profit following the sluggish sales of its Galaxy S9 flagship phone.

Samsung's operating profit estimate for the second quarter was also lower than the 15.6 trillion won or US$14 billion profit it generated during the January-March period.

Analysts expect Samsung to sell just 31 million Galaxy S9 units in 2018, which is well below expectations.

Still, CES is another six months away, so there's even more time for things to change - especially if Samsung has issues manufacturing the Galaxy X. That's an increase of 0.71 trillion won in profits, but a 3 trillion won drop in sales compared to the same time previous year, as Samsung missed estimates for the quarter that ended on June 30th.

Weak LCD display prices are also blamed for the disappointing results, they said. The device will employ foldable display panels, which is expected to go into mass production this summer.

Samsung hasn't commented, but back in April warned that its mobile business would see "stagnant sales of flagship models amid weak demand and an increase in marketing expenses" in the second quarter. Furthermore, the report asserts that the Samsung SDI is developing a foldable phone with V-shaped battery.
