Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick in Manchester City's 6-1 rout of Huddersfield Town on Sunday before the champions' neighbours Manchester United suffered a limp 3-2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion that left Paul Pogba questioning his team's attitude.

Mourinho's side were blown away on the south-coast as Brighton scored twice in two minutes thanks to goals from Glenn Murray and Shane Duffy midway through the first half.

Bailly, again, was at fault for Brighton's third goal two minutes before half time as he went to tackle Pascal Gross who had taken a poor touch in a Brighton attack.

"Eight of those Manchester United players that finished the game got to the World Cup quarter-final, so are they bad players?"

Pogba was on target from the penalty spot in United's opening win against Leicester and he again converted from 12 yards here, although it was too late to make a difference.

Romelu Lukaku pulled one back for United.

Two minutes later, Duffy slotted in from close range after United failed to clear a corner.

Lukaku didn't score that wonderful chance and United were punished in the 25th minute when sloppy defending allowed Solly March to find Murray unmarked in the box and striker cooly flicked the ball into the net leaving David de Gea with no chance of keeping the ball out of the net.

Jurgen Klopp sends message to Liverpool FC fans about title challenge
We are in for an entertaining 90 minutes at Anfield, so here is everything you need to know about the match... So they are top quality. "We are still Rocky Balboa, not Ivan Drago", said Klopp.

Paul Scholes has ripped into Paul Pogba and claimed there is a "lack of leaders" at Manchester United following their dismal 3-2 loss at Brighton.

"The result shifts the mood from last week [a 2-0 defeat at Watford], but it doesn't change anything. Basics in football, but that Manchester United team did not do it".

The Portuguese conceded his squad made "big mistakes" in their second game of the Premier League season but refused to single anyone out for blame. In team news, club captain Bruno is absent with a thigh injury. The Iranian worldwide was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season and enjoyed an impressive World Cup for Team Melli.

In the second half Fred and Anthony Martial had good chances for United.

"Today the situation was not even a corner but was similar in the sense we had one last ball and the referee stopped the game when the ball was in the air".

"Jose Mourinho has criticised the Manchester City TV documentary, saying "you can not buy class", Shearer told The Sun. But the damage had already been done as Brighton sat comfortably on their lead until virtually the last kick of the match. The Brazilian midfielder was at his marauding best at times and will be looking to continue his solid start for the Red Devils.

Particularly impressive was the range of attacking options open to Guardiola with nearly every player providing a threat on goal.
