The handset is most notably Samsung's first device to include a triple-lens camera.

The 24MP sensor on Samsung Galaxy A7 automatically combines four pixels to form a bigger one, allowing for better quality images in low-light conditions.

In a phone that touts camera prowess, Samsung hasn't forgotten the all-important selfie shooter at the front, too. Like other Galaxy phones, you can control the depth of field for these photos on the A7, too.

Samsung is hosting an event on October 11 and the handset will initially launch in selected European and Asian markets and will gradually expand. The company has also incorporated Scene Optimizer feature in the camera which it has borrowed from Galaxy Note 9.

One of the most notable features of this device is the triple camera setup on the rear.

The front camera on the Galaxy A7 also gets a 24MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and support for Selfie Focus, Pro Lightening Mode, AR emoji and filters.

One other perk: The iPhone XR will be available in a variety of colors including black, red, white, blue, coral and yellow. Apple says the camera along with smarter AI-based algorithms can deliver better imaging capabilities than the iPhone 8 .

The company has remained coy about the release date, specs, pricing and just about everything else. The bigger variant called iPhone Xs Max/Plus will be priced at 1,149 euros (roughly Rs 96,200).

For the optics, the Galaxy A7 (2018) has a triple rear cameras of 24-megapixel with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, 8-megapixel with ultra-wide f/2.4 lens for wide-angle photos and 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor.

Samsung has launched the device in four colour options- Black, Blue, Pink and Gold. It will also come preloaded with Samsung's Bixby virtual voice assistant, Samsung Pay and Samsung Health.

Apart from that, the Galaxy A7 packs a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, and a fingerprint scanner for unlocking the phone.

It is LTE Cat. The device is backed by a 3,300mAh battery and should support adaptive fast charging.

Earlier this month, Samsung mobile boss DJ Koh said the company's mid-range phones will get cutting-edge features before its flagships going forward. The latest iteration of the Galaxy A7 apparently improves on the 2017 version of the device announced earlier previous year.
