Oculus Quest is Facebook's next VR headset, promising you can play high-end games without the need for a powerful PC to run them. It includes four ultra wide-angle sensors and computer vision algorithms to track your position in the real world without any need of external sensors. When it comes to optics, the Oculus Quest uses the same system found in the Oculus Go, which means that you get a resolution of 1600x1440 per eye.
The device will be available in Spring 2019 for $399.

Called the Oculus Quest, this VR headset will provide six degrees of freedom and will come with Oculus Touch wireless controllers.
The next generation of Oculus VR is called Oculus Quest, a standalone HMD with hand tracking and 6DOF. We'll believe that when we see it, too.
Right now, it's a little unclear what the future of VR looks like in the PC space. Notably absent was the Gear VR headset, which was created through a partnership with Samsung and Oculus. There are tracking issues to be solved, the configuration takes a fair bit of room, and it's very much a first-generation type of solution. However, due to the form factor, we expect it to be similar to the Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered Oculus Go, especially given the limited 64GB on-board storage. At the very least, it offers a simpler, faster way to jump into gaming.
