An 11 a.m. tweet from Team YouTube announced the resumed service, but several Twitter users said they still couldn't view videos through some of the platform's services like YouTube TV.

Users who tried to access YouTube and other services during the outage were greeted with an Error 503 message, which is a server-side code that typically indicates the servers are not available.

While small issues were affecting service earlier this morning, YouTube has crashed nearly completely in the last half hour or so.

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki apologised for the downtime but did not provide additional details for the outage. In addition, visiting YouTube.com produced a blank screen with only the YouTube logo displayed.

Users are being served an error message when attempting to watch content on the video-sharing site, which uploads 100 hours of content every minute.
