One of the most prominent points of contention between the Saudi and Turkish teams investigating Khashoggi's murder has been the kingdom's refusal to reveal the location of the journalist's remains.
He was referring to a 15-member assassination squad that Turkey believes was sent to kill Khashoggi at the consulate where he had arrived to obtain papers to marry his Turkish fiancee.
Riyadh said the body had been handed to a local collaborator to dispose of, but Saud al-Mujeb, Saudi Arabia's top prosecutor, later rowed back on that.
An advisor to Erdogan, Yasin Aktay, suggested last week that the body may have been dissolved in acid.
Two Turkish officials said the audio makes it clear that Khashoggi suffered a drawn-out death.
"We gave the recordings, we gave them to Saudi Arabia, we gave them to Washington, to the Germans, to the French, to the English", President Erdogan said in a televised speech on Saturday.
Turkish and Saudi officials have carried out joint inspections of the consulate and the consul's residence, but Erdogan said some Saudi officials were still trying to cover up the crime.

Hulk Hogan returns to WWE at controversial show in Saudi Arabia
On a conference call with shareholders WWE chairman Vince McMahon said: "We're not going to talk a lot about that [Crown Jewel]". News of Hogan being part of the show started with him mentioning it in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel last week.
The official confirmation will increase the pressure on President Donald Trump and other Western leaders to demand accountability for the killing, specifically from Saudi Arabia.
In a statement to the newspaper, Khashoggi's family denied he had been a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and said the murdered writer had himself denied this repeatedly in recent years.
"We gave it to America". Donald Trump had previously said that he did not know what happened to Khashoggi and had to wait for evidence, a statement that suggested the USA was not in possession of the recordings.
Saudi Arabia, which has faces global criticism and potential sanctions over the murder of Khashoggi in its consulate inIstanbul, leads a coalition battling Houthi insurgents in Yemen. He also said that 18 people arrested in connection with the murder know "the killers of Khashoggi very well". "They know for certain who among the 15 is the killer or are the killers", Erdogan said.
Last week, however, Turkey said he had been strangled immediately after entering the consulate and his body dismembered "in accordance with plans made in advance". "Saudi Arabia has a responsibility to inform us where the body is", he said.
However, Erdogan has accused the "highest levels" of the Saudi government with ordering the hit, while some officials have pointed the finger at the all-powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Sabah report said the two experts visited the consulate every day from their arrival on October 11 until October 17, with Saudi authorities allowing Turkish investigators to search the consulate on October 15.
