Gray was crowned Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand Monday, capping a two-year long journey from her heartbreaking loss in Miss World to her rise as visionary beauty queen and social media star.

Albayalde's opinion on the issue surfaced as the Philippines' bet and now Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray said during the question-and-answer portion of the pageant that she favors legalizing marijuana for medical but not for recreational use.

As part of her time on the Miss Universe stage, Catriona discussed her work in low-income areas of the Philippines, saying she tries to "find the beauty" in desolate circumstances.

We know that all throughout the whole competition, she dedicated so much effort into representing the Philippines in everything she wore-from the gowns and national costumes down to the accessories that she designed herself-all bearing symbolisms relating to the Philippines.

"If I could teach people to be grateful, we could have an unbelievable world where negativity could not grow and foster and children would have smiles on their faces", she added.

Gray is known to spontaneously burst into song, which is most likely due to her love of the arts and her Master Certificate in Music Theory. "And this I think if I can teach people to be grateful, we can have an fantastic world where negativity could not grow and foster, and children will have smile on their faces". Summers also made it into the top 20.
