Madrid's home-grown midfielder Marcos Llorente doubled the European champions lead on the hour-mark with a superbly struck volley from outside the area.

The opposition could not mastermind another upset as two long-range strikes from Ballon d'Or victor Luka Modric and Marcos Llorente - his maiden goal - set Real up for the comfortable win.

And with just over 10 minutes to go the trophy was sealed with Ramos flicking home a wonderful header from Modric's corner to make it 3-0.

Al Ain reached the final after the United Arab Emirates club proved to be the surprise of the short tournament. Yadia Nader's own goal in the 90th minute completed Al-Ain misery.

Palacios has previously said that he will not comment on his future until after the end of the Club World Cup, which comes to a conclusion on Saturday.

AC Milan have four altogether, while Barcelona hold three.

Then, a mistake by Marcelo left El Sahat alone to round Courtois, only for Ramos to hustle back and block his shot on the line. Bale, scorer of a hat-trick in the semi-final victory over Kashima Antlers, nearly made it 2-0 in spectacular fashion shortly after the break, sending the ball just over with an overhead kick, and moments later a Benzema shot bounced wide.

It was his first goal for Madrid, as he continues to impress playing for the injured Casemiro in recent weeks.

Earlier, Copa Libertadores winners River Plate won the third-place play-off by beating Asian champions Kashima Antlers 4-0.

Real Madrid eased to a third straight Club World Cup title as Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos scored in a 4-1 final victory over home team Al Ain in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

A second goal always looked likely to arrive sooner rather than later, with Modric denied by an excellent save from Al Ain 'keeper Khalid Eisa.
