February's full moon is known as the "snow moon" as a result of the heavy snowfall that often occurs at that time of year, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.

You will be able to see the super snow moon from with the naked eye and the forecast is looking clear for tomorrow, so chances are you will easily be able to spot it.

Astronomers call it "perigee", and when the Moon reaches its closest distance on February 19, it would seem to be much bigger and brighter than an ordinary full moon.

A supermoon takes place when the moon is full and its orbit at its perigee point is closest to Earth.

When it comes to the science behind the cosmic phenomenon, according to NASA, a super moon unfolds when the moon's orbit is closest (perigee) to Earth at the same time it is full. This is the second supermoon of 2019, after the Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse that occurred on January 20.

The moon will technically reach peak fullness next Tuesday morning, February 19, 2019, at 10:54 a.m. EST, but won't be visible to most in the that time. The sun will set at 5.22pm, so it'll be around this time that you'll get your best look at the supermoon. Due to an optical illusion, the moon appears larger to us the closer it is to the horizon. After tomorrow's Full Moon, one more Supermoon will peak on the night of March 21.
