The most interesting device on display was the Galaxy Fold, the smartphone you can fold up like a piece of paper Samsung first detailed a year ago.

All of the Galaxy series of rigid phones except the 5G will be available from March 8, with the S10+ priced from US$1,000, the S10 priced from US$900 and the smaller S10e from US$750. While the main highlights of the event will be the all-new Galaxy devices, Samsung is also rumoured to announce new accessories for the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.

Evan Blass, who has leaked Samsung information before, tweeted out the phrase "Samsung Galaxy Fold", an indication that Samsung's new foldable phone will be called the Galaxy Fold, according to The Verge.

The Galaxy Fold will probably be the name of the device, as the company trademarked that name a while back, along with the "Galaxy Flex", and Evan Blass suggested recently that Samsung is going with this name.

Out of the box you'll be playing with Android 9.0 Pie, 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM: This is exciting to see how it performs across a long day or when hooking up to a monitor with Dex.

The handset comes with a huge 6.7-inch screen, has six cameras in total and houses a massive 4,500mAh battery. The main display is rumored to sport a resolution of 2152 x 1536, and the phone will nearly certainly be fueled by either the Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820, though it's possible that Samsung will utilize both processors as it will with the Galaxy S10 series (market dependent).

About that's the prettiest we've seen on any foldable phone (concept or not). We've got a Galaxy S9 deals page which you can use to find all the cheapest contracts and SIM-free handsets, if the S9 is something you'd consider buying.

When opened back up, the device becomes a 7.3 inch tablet and features three-app multitasking. The camera features Ultra Wide Lens with a 123-degree field of view and Super Steady recording with digital stabilization technology, as both front and rear cameras can shoot in up to UHD quality, while the rear camera can record in HDR10+.

Otherwise, the phones will be similar in appearance to last year's Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus devices, with curved glass at the side and an edge-to-edge display. Samsung also worked with Adobe to preload a custom version of Premiere Rush for video editing and with Instagram to add posting tools to the camera stock camera app. In some ways it's an incredibly innovative taste of the future that will blow your socks off, but in others, it's an unfinished mess that makes its $1,980 price seem even crazier.
