Jurgen Klopp urges Liverpool to ignore past pain ahead of Chelsea game

Jurgen Klopp has condemned "disgusting" racist abuse aimed at Mohamed Salah and called for lifetime bans for the Chelsea fans accused of taunting the Liverpool star.

Egypt forward Salah, who played for Chelsea before joining Roma in 2016, is a practising Muslim and has previously faced abuse about his religion.

Liverpool meanwhile had won 11 matches on the spin and were widely tipped to lift the Premier League trophy after a 3-2 win over Manchester City.

Leaders Liverpool are now 16 points clear of Chelsea as they go toe-to-toe with Manchester City at the top, but will be wary of the 16-goal Hazard who also boasts a league-high 12 assists this term.

"I like his joy, cheeky as well, strong, quick, he's a good player!" The two clubs are working together to address this issue.

For all Klopp's optimism, Liverpool have not beaten Chelsea at Anfield in their past eight encounters, a barren run that includes a 2-1 League Cup defeat this season inspired by Eden Hazard's superb late victor.

USC offers ride share safety tips, extra counseling after Samantha Josephson’s death
Police initiated a search, and some 14 hours later, her body was discovered in a field by turkey hunters off a dirt road. One factor that kept Josephson from escaping her alleged killer's auto was the child locks that were turned on.

"On his day, he can be the world's best immediately", Klopp said in his pre-match press conference. Then, if we take our chances, we can win the game. "In a one-on-one situation you can't defend him".

"The best way to try to make sure that he can not shine is to avoid passes to him", he added.

"Because football is very public we talk a lot about this so I think we pretty much have a strong voice and we have to use that strong voice and say altogether things like this are not allowed to happen again". "We don't want fans like that anywhere near our game", they said.

"They beat Man City at home, they've got the players that can turn it on on a big day".

The odds are most certainly stacked in favour of Liverpool but history is proof that Chelsea have managed to spoil the Liverpool party once before back in 2014.

Chelsea have also said they are "concerned" after footage emerged before the game showing fans singing 'Salah is a bomber.' Those who were identified were later denied entry to Eden Arena in Prague. They did it now, but hopefully we can avoid someone doing something like this again.
